Report Card Chats
On January 17, 2013 our PUSD Superintendent's Faith-Based RoundTable recruited like-minded positive people from the community to encourage our 400 Freshman at Garey High School as they received their Report Cards. This was the first, but probably not the last of this kind of an event where the community is invited into listen to the youth and encourage them to do well in school.
Included in the crowd was Richard Martinez, our super Superintendent, and other PUSD Administrators, as well as many Neighborhood Watch Organizers from the Pomona Police Department, and Religious leaders from many Faith Traditions. It was a great idea, Karen Rogel! We hope to continue to do this work!
